JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare team by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients’ care, comfort, and safety.
The Medical Assistant performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic’s mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with AAMA or RMA certified required. Documented successful completion of the following courses (or their recognized course equivalent) required :
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : None
Preferred / Optional : Healthcare experience
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire and one of the following :
Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license awarded by the State of Wisconsin.
Serves Neillsville Region Sites : Stratford, Colby, Greenwood, and Neillsville
